Conflicts of Interest

All Amgen staff members, consultants, contract workers and temporary staff are responsible for avoiding situations in which personal interests, outside activities, financial interests or relationships conflict or even appear to conflict with Amgen’s interests.

Under Amgen’s Conflicts of Interest Policy, all representatives of the company must, among other things:

  • Avoid situations where a reasonable person would question whether they were inappropriately influenced in making a business decision
  • Deal with suppliers, customers and everyone doing business with Amgen objectively, professionally and fairly
  • Never seek or accept payments, fees, loans or services from any person or firm as a condition of their doing business with Amgen
  • Exercise good judgment and consider the market value of a gift before accepting anything from a person or entity doing business with Amgen

Amgen staff members are encouraged to discuss with their supervisors any questions of potential conflict or appearance of conflict.
