Amgen is committed to discovering talent and nurturing individuals who can contribute to our mission of dramatically improving people’s lives. Through our internship and co-op programs, we share knowledge and build relationships with qualified students from a variety of majors.
Amgen offers opportunities in most company functions, including Research and Development, Marketing, Information Systems, Manufacturing and other challenging areas. Our internship and co-op program spans our locations in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
Paid internship assignments are designed for undergraduate and graduate level students. Students work under at least one practicing professional who provides guidance and mentorship during the 10- to 12-week internship. This position is normally not for academic credit.
A cooperative education (co-op) experience is generally completed by a student over more than one or more semesters/quarters. The student must receive academic credit for the work being performed. It includes work assignments related to the participant's academic degree being earned and career interests. The concept of cooperative education is based on paid work typically for three to 12 months.
Applications for internships and co-ops are accepted from early January through late April. For more information about our internship and co-op programs, see Intern and Co-op Frequently Asked Questions.
