The Amgen website will not be accepting applications for 2009 programs/events after 12:00 am PST Thursday, October 1, 2009. Any applications submitted after this date will not be guaranteed review and processing for the 2009 program. Applications for the 2010 program will continue to be accepted and reviewed, but please note that applications received for the 2010 program may not receive responses until sometime in 2010. Amgen Independent Medical Education

Amgen supports independent medical education provided by accredited organizations, to further its mission to serve patients and contribute to the advancement of medicine and healthcare.

Requests will be considered and supported for a variety of educational opportunities, including but not limited to live presentations, written enduring materials, online courses and conference symposia.

Funding of independent medical education by Amgen occurs in the following therapeutic areas of interest but are not limited to:

  • Hematology/Oncology
  • Inflammation: Dermatology
  • Inflammation: Rheumatology
  • Nephrology
  • Osteoporosis
Amgen’s support for independent medical education is compliant with federal and state laws, as well as industry and academic codes and guidelines that govern such activities. Amgen applies strict standards to all of our interactions with members of the U.S. healthcare community. Thus, commercial staff are not involved in decisions to fund independent medical education programs. Click here for more information.
