Each year, Amgen commits significant financial support and product donations to help make a difference in people’s lives. Likewise, Amgen staff members devote thousands of hours volunteering their time and talent to strengthening and enriching their communities.
Amgen’s corporate giving initiatives are very diverse: research grants and fellowships; medical education grants; donations of cash, product and equipment; community involvement through corporate sponsorships; and cash donations and volunteerism by Amgen staff members. In addition, the Amgen Foundation gives grants and matches staff donations to eligible non-profits.
Launched in 1991, the Amgen Foundation is an integral component of Amgen’s commitment to dramatically improve people’s lives. Assistance for Uninsured Patients
Amgen provides our medicines at no cost to uninsured patients in the United States who could otherwise not afford treatment through two foundations.
The Safety Net Foundation is a nonprofit foundation supported by Amgen that helps make Aranesp, EPOGEN (dialysis use only), Neulasta, NEUPOGEN, Nplate, Sensipar and Vectibix available to qualifying patients. Safety Net has helped more than 250,000 qualifying patients receive treatment with Amgen products at no cost. more >
The ENcourage Foundation® is a nonprofit foundation supported by Amgen and Wyeth that helps make ENBREL available to qualifying patients. To date, the ENcourage Foundation® has helped more than 21,000 qualifying patients receive treatment with ENBREL at no cost. more >
