AMG 221
AMG 221 is an orally-administered small molecule antagonist of 11-beta hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 (“11ß-HSD1”), an enzyme associated with conversion of cortisone to cortisol in the liver and adipose tissue. It is being investigated as a treatment of metabolic disorders, including type 2 diabetes.
