Amgen ranked 6th among large biotech and pharmaceutical companies – and No. 16 overall – on The Scientist’s 2010 “Best Places to Work in Industry” list.
The annual survey of staff working in the life-sciences industry assesses large (more than 5,000 employees) and small companies and their working environments in categories ranging from job satisfaction and benefits to training and integrity. Survey respondents were primarily laboratory, clinical or field researchers or in management at biotech and pharmaceutical companies.
The article accompanying The Scientist’s rankings notes that Amgen is “praised by employees” for the “little extras that make their workday enjoyable.”
