Amgen has been named the number two workplace in Europe by the Great Place to Work Institute^®. This latest award follows four individual country awards received earlier this year that recognized Amgen as a great place to work in Belgium, Greece, Poland and Spain. These awards highlight Amgen’s commitment to its values, camaraderie and teamwork, and well-structured best practices, like reward and incentive schemes, personal development programs, flexible working and welcome packages for new recruits.

The Great Place to Work Institute^® ranks each company on the basis of two elements: the Trust Index derived from a staff survey, which analyses participants' responses to statements about credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie; and the Culture Audit, a management questionnaire that helps the institute assess the overall culture of the company. Scores of these elements combined allows the Great Place to Work Institute to compile a ranking of the companies entered.
