In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma and the 8.1 magnitude earthquake in Mexico, the Amgen Foundation (the Foundation) has committed $250,000 to disaster relief efforts in the regions affected by the disasters.

Southeast Texas
The Foundation donated $80,000 to Direct Relief to support their work assisting community health centers devastated by flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey. Additionally, $20,000 was donated to the American Kidney Fund's Disaster Relief Program to assist dialysis patients affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Puerto Rico, Florida, and the Caribbean Islands
The Foundation donated an additional $80,000 to Direct Relief for their work delivering critical medicines and supplies to health facilities in Puerto Rico, Florida and some Caribbean islands following Hurricane Irma. An additional $20,000 was donated to the American Kidney Fund to aid dialysis patients affected by Hurricane Irma.

Mexico
In response to the recent earthquake in Mexico, the Amgen Foundation donated $50,000 to Direct Relief to support earthquake recovery work in the region.

Staff Matching Gifts
In addition to the $250,000 in support provided by the Foundation, Amgen staff are participating in a disaster relief matching gift program. The program allows Amgen staff around the world to donate any amount to identified support agencies, and the Amgen Foundation will match donations dollar for dollar.
