John Chung is a Principal Scientist within Amgen’s Drug Product Technologies organization. He currently leads a group that develops and manufactures oral solid dosage forms for early stage clinical studies. John is a subject matter expert on biopharmaceutics, the science of how orally dosed molecules are absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract into the body. Prior to joining Amgen, John worked at Simulations Plus where he worked on the development of a physiologically based oral absorption modeling/simulation software used by pharmaceutical companies and regulatory agencies around the world.
