March is Multiple Myeloma Awareness Month, a time to recognize the patients, caregivers and healthcare providers who are doing remarkable work each day to improve the lives of patients living with this incurable blood cancer.
Although it’s the second most common blood cancer, multiple myeloma is rare.1 It’s estimated that only 32,000 people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with the disease this year.1 To help shed light on multiple myeloma, Amgen will be shining a burgundy beam into the night sky from its corporate headquarters in Thousand Oaks, Calif. from March 17-29. The spotlight represents the bright future Amgen is committed to providing patients with multiple myeloma.
Throughout the month, on our Amgen Oncology Twitter feed, we will also be sharing information and resources from our Myeloma MVP program as well as stories from those impacted by the disease from our Blood Counts program.
