Aine Hanly serves as senior vice president, Quality, and chief quality officer at Amgen.

Aine brings nearly three decades of biopharmaceutical industry experience, with leadership roles across Quality, Process Development, Manufacturing, Clinical Supply Chain, Technical Operations and CMC Strategy. Before returning to Amgen in 2025, Aine was executive vice president and chief technology officer at Vir Biotechnology, where she led Technical Operations, R&D and Operations Quality, and the company’s data strategy. Earlier, she served as quality site head at Pfizer’s Grange Castle facility in Ireland. Aine first joined Amgen in 2012 and spent nearly a decade in leadership roles across multiple sites and organizations. She returned as vice president, Quality, with responsibility for the Combination Product Quality (CPQ) and Product Quality (PQ) organizations.

Aine holds a B.S. in Biological Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Physical Organic Chemistry from the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland.
